At Hitchcocks Business Park we strive to fulfil the needs of current generations without compromising the needs of future generations, while ensuring a balance between economic growth, environmental care and social wellbeing.

Renewable energy and energy efficiency

We have invested in a number of roof-mounted solar PV installations to our existing buildings and new buildings at the Park are designed to incorporate energy saving technology wherever possible, with retrospective improvements to existing buildings also undertaken as required by occupiers.

The Park’s attenuation pond controls surface water run-off whilst also providing a valuable wildlife habitat.

An extensive programme of landscaping has been undertaken with careful attention to detail from an aesthetic and biodiversity perspective serving both the Park’s occupiers and visitors, as well as local wildlife. New planting is undertaken to provide a species-rich environment which compliments the rural setting of the Park.

Cycling and walking

Footpath and cycleway links have been provided linking the park with the nearby village of Uffculme and the National Cycle Network.
